I know next to nothing about setting up a router and wireless internet. My question is how hard is it to do and what complications to consider. I was thinking of sharing (going 50/50) a network with my next door neighbor who in only 12 feet from my house. What if any security issues involved? Would my neighbor be able to monitor my internet usage? Has anyone tried this, or is it a bad idea? I am currently using cable internet. I am also using a MAC if that matters.
